Hey, my name is David Park and I am a freshmen at my high school. I am also on the Track Team.
I guess i am considered descent, considering that i am only in the 9th grade. I watched a lot of the videos on youtube on how to run for the 100 meter or the 200 meter.
I asked the upper-classmen on how to improve speed. They said just do alot of resistance training and box jumps.
I did it for about a month and i barely saw progress.
Down, But Not Out
When i felt a bit down i began to look for ways on improving my speed when i landed on the speed training challenge site.
I was very convinced by it so i did the 2 week thigh flexor thing. It did’nt take that long so i thought i didn’t see progress.
But on the next meet, i ran first place on my usual heat. I was rather stunned and impressed.
My coach even told me that i have a lot of potential and things like that….
Here are my improved times:
Event 1: 100
Before Time 1: 13.5
After Time 1: 11.7
Event 2: 200
Before Time 2: 27.2
After Time 2: 24.84
