Torn ACL Doesn’t Stop This Texas Athlete From Regaining 4.9 Speed in 40.

I was a junior running back at the 5A level in Texas and tore my ACL. Complete ACL recovery post-op is 6 months.

Couldn’t even walk for 2 days after surgery. A month and a half later I experimentally tried my fastest at a forty.

Top speed was a jog with at least 11 seconds on the forty.  Two months post-op I began reteaching my legs to run with correct form.

A week later I found speed challenge’s website featuring resistance bands and isometric training while on the net.

It’s now only 3 months post-op but I’m already below 4.9 seconds in the forty with just a little knee pain.

Event 1: 40
Before Time 1: +11 seconds
After Time 1: 4.8
